Known for many years as the Rico Reserve the new branding and packaging from 2016 onwards reflects the D Addario company ownership (that has actually been in place since 2004) and the reeds are now referred to as Reserve, or D Addario Reserve.
The reeds are exactly the same, with the same geometry, manufacturing process, manufacturing location and indeed the same cane sourcing, it's only the packaging that has changed.
The reserve design offers a traditional blank clarinet reed that gives a focused sound, a shorter vamp for even response, rounded tip corners for tonal warmth, and a standard tip thickness for quick response.

Still playing them in, but generally very satisfied
the reeds I brought was brilliant gave a good tone that made
it addictive to want to keep playing
These reeds have allowed me to achieve what I was looking for.
Used these in the past - each pack has a good count of usable reeds
No reed is perfect but I find these more consistent than Vandoren.
I've been using the Rico Reserves for about 2 years now, and I've not had a problem yet. The reeds come in their separate little cases, and some boxes have Rico's Reed Revitaliser Pack, which I can't say makes much difference. Each reed lasts about 2 months, longer if you're swapping regularly.I'd recommend these reeds to any grade 5+ player.
