Product Information

The Ultra-Pure tuning slide lube is a fully synthetic grease that is safe to use on all the tuning slides on brass instruments. We recommend applying this bi-monthly for regular use. This heavy version is especially useful for older or loose fitting tuning slides that have a habit of sliding out too easily! It's heavy viscosity will help keep it in place yet still be moveable.

Remove each slide and wipe off old grease with a gauze, lint-free cloth or paper towel. Apply a small amount of new lube and push the slide back in, taking note to remove any excess.

Experimental. A gummy product. Too heavy and sticky on adjustable slides on a conventional trumpet, but I wanted something to seal waterkey based air leaks that have a dramatic effect on tone. This product is currently on waterkeys, and might be more reliable than the lighter grease that I had been using that tends to be softened further perhaps dues to some valve oil working its way through to the waterkeys.
