This entry level mouthpiece by Yamaha has long been regarded as the industry standard. Very easy to play with good tone production and consistent manufacturing. 4C, 5C and 6C are the most popular models for students and advancing players.
The higher the number the larger the tip opening which in simplified terms can require a more developed embouchure but rewards with a bigger sound.

Solid reliable product - that lives up to its deserved good reputation
A very good mouthpiece, as to be expected from Yamaha, but I wasn't comfortable with the size, a 4C, so I'll stick with the 5C that am using at the moment.
The Mouthpiece is excellent & I love the tone no regrets good value for Money

Purchased the Yam 5c after advice from Dawkes. It was the best advice I recieved. It was easy for me - as a beginner - to blow and I have now bought Yamaha mouthpieces for my alto sax
Bought a 4C to replace a cheapo m/p that came with a sax. As expected the 4C was far superior and well worth the money. Dawkes recommended a Rico H style lig and cap which fitted perfectly and is very nicely made....good call Matt!
