The ever-popular Yanagisawa A901 is highly regarded amongst players and teachers alike because of its ease of play, excellent tonal quality and evenness across the whole range.
Made in Japan the Yanagisawa range is of the highest quality, the A901 series was recently replaced by the AWO series in 2015/2016. For 20+ years beforehand the Yanagisawa A901 battled it out with the Yamaha 62 for top position in the upgrade Alto Sax marketplace. For many players these models are more than suitable to fulfil all their performing expectations in a wide range of musical genres and scenarios.
We find the Yanagisawa possibly the most versatile upgrade instrument, it's equally at home playing jazz, classical, pop, funk etc - essentially, it's just a really well-made pro level Sax that is very vibrant and responsive and has great intonation.
An ideal upgrade Sax with long term reliability and value. This particular example is in good order with usual small signs of aesthetic use and a bit of wear to the lacquer around the left hand key stack . Like all our second-hand instruments it is fully checked and set-up in our workshop prior to sale by one of our experienced woodwind technicians.
