We are thrilled to have welcomed Rob Blencowe (Brass) to our teaching team. Rob brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our team! Check out more about Rob and his role with us below…

Rob Blencowe (Brass)

Rob is a professional Trumpet player in the Royal Corps of Army Music. Joining the Army at the age of 16, after his training he graduated to the Band of the Coldstream Guards.

Spending 10 years with the Coldstream Guards he enjoyed performing music all around the world, regularly to royalty. In September 2020 Rob was posted to British Army Band Sandhurst. Outside of the Army, he enjoys playing in many different ensembles with a particular love for Jazz music.

Rob looks forward to sharing his love for brass playing, and his experience in wind bands with others as a teacher at Dawkes Music. Rob is offering individual brass lessons as well as co-running our “Tuesday Tooters” ensemble with Harriet.
