Flute Playing Videos: EXTENDING BREATHING CAPACITY (8/10)

17th December 2018

Our eighth video in this Flute Technique series discusses some top tips for extending your breathing capacity. This is the eight of a ten part video series we recorded with top international flautist Krzysztof Kaczka. Throughout the videos Krzysztof will talk about various techniques and exercises to help improve your flute playing, whatever your level.

Extending Breathing Capacity

We all know that good air supply helps promote a strong tone. The exercises shown here will help you build your breathing capacity to increase the solidity of your tone. The ability to produce a steady and long lasting flow of air will come in very useful when also extending your playing range. Not only that, but it can help you produce a rich, strong and robust sound.

We’ll be back with the eighth video in the next couple of weeks. Thanks to Krzysztof and Pearl Flutes for supporting this series. If you want to stay tuned for more, make sure you’re signed up to our Newsletter.
